Beverly Hills Energy Resilience Advisory Services

EcoMotion is now under contract with the City of Beverly Hills to help its residents and businesses become more energy resilient. The advisory service is provided at no cost to Beverly Hills residents and businesses. The programs builds upon the successful Solar Santa Monica program that EcoMotion has managed for 18 years.

If the power grid fails, Power On Beverly Hills program participants will be up and running, drawing power from back-up resources to maintain critical loads. The City of Beverly Hills is at the cutting edge of energy resilience with its brand-new Power On Beverly Hills program.

In addition to conducting detailed site analyses and site visits, EcoMotion has developed a set of briefing documents for Power On Beverly Hills program participants. The briefings present a) five pathways to energy resilience, b) solar and storage solutions, c) vehicle to grid integration solutions, d) the pros and cons of generators, and e) grid defection. Our team has also identified and developed lists of qualified solar and storage contractors to design and install systems for resilience.

Every home and business is unique: So far, our team has been working on to incorporate resilience in home remodels. In another case, we have been helping a resident find suitable roofing contractors to prepare a leaking roof for solar. Another homeowner has a portable generator, a custom subpanel, and an electric vehicle that he wants to link with solar and more storage. In each instance, our team is helping to identify and prioritize critical loads to be maintained during outages.
