EcoMotion, the Hub, and CIC host first Cambridge Sustainability unConference
EcoMotion joined with two other Cambridge companies on the cutting edge of innovation to hold the first annual Cambridge Sustainability unConference.
The unConference was held on Thursday evening, April 25th at the Cambridge Innovation Center from 5-7 PM. The CIC is located at One Broadway, Havana Room 5th floor, Cambridge MA 02142.
Hosted by The Hub Boston, the Cambridge Innovation Center, and EcoMotion, the event brought together over 400 of Boston’s premiere change makers during Earth Week to connect, collaborate, and take action. Twenty-two conference rooms in three stories of office space were used for the unConference.
While there were several programmed panels, exhibitions, and thematic spaces, at an “unConference” the event’s participants determine the agenda and content. The broad range of professional interests are linked by a passion to create social change.
Featured session leaders were Kristen Von Hoffman, (Candidate for Cambridge City Council, Sustainability Manager of Cambridge Public Schools), Mark Orlowski (Founder and Executive Director of the Sustainable Endowments Institute), Shaun O’Rourke (Director of Sustainable Design at Boston Architectural College), and EcoMotion President Ted Flanigan, who facilitated a discussion of visions of the renewable energy future.
