Bio-Regional Sustainability Exploration

EcoMotion’s partnership with Somerville-based Earthos Institute is exploring the application of a bioregional framework to higher education institutions within a region. This partnership seeks to test Earthos’ methodology that evaluates assets and risks as the basis for strategic action planning that in turn will support sustainability across geographic scales.

Fostering Innovation for Sustainability in the Greater Boston Area

EcoMotion organizes a monthly Sustainability Collaborative event and an annual Sustainability unConference in partnership with the Innovation community and Venture Cafe to foster dialog between campus stakeholders, professionals, business leaders, elected officials, and entrepreneurs around New England.

Leaders In Energy Efficiency Financing Program (LEEF)

LEEF is a collaboration between the Sustainable Endowments Institute and EcoMotion to promote and advance green revolving funds around New England. EcoMotion has collaborated with the Sustainable Endowments Institute to bring technical support to schools in New Hampshire, Connecticut, Maine, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Technical assistance has included exploring and launching green  revolving funds and encouraging participation in the Green Billion Dollar Challenge and the use of the Green Revolving Investment Tracking System (GRITS). Initially funded by the John Merck Fund and the Barr Foundation, EcoMotion has partnered with over 20 schools to provide technical assistance in developing green revolving funds.
